If you're like me, you're probably sick of hearing and reading about this thing that happened 18 years ago between Chump and Stormy Daniels. OK I get it, I need a break from this too.
But before you go, Jeff Tiedrich's take (and funny, sarcastic comments) on the trial is really about how low can the MAGAs go.
"there is no behavior too repugnant for Donnys fans. they just love him harder for it."
cheat on your taxes? thats just being a smart businessman.
steal state secrets? hey, they belonged to him.
defraud banks and the government? whatever it takes to win, man.
coerce a woman into a joyless sexual encounter? shes a porn star. she had it coming to her.

Today's Tiedrich rant: Donald Trump is a sleazy predator who coerced Stormy Daniels into bed

Little Donny Fuckface imagines himself to be a lot of things hes not. hes a low-wattage imbecile who thinks hes the smartest person who ever lived. hes a lifelong failure who believes hes the savviest businessman ever. hes an out-of-shape slug who pictures himself to be the apex of masculinity.
to that we can add a disgusting pig who fancies himself the sexiest man alive.
up until now weve only known the barest details about what went on between Donald Trump and Stormy Daniels: they met, they went to a hotel, they had some sort of sexual encounter, and then Trump paid Stormy a hundred and thirty grand to shut the fuck up about it.
Stormy Daniels took the witness stand in the Big Trump Manhattan Election Fuckery Trial yesterday, and heres the main takeaway: the whole thing happened because, in Stormys own words, he was bigger and blocking the way. ugh.

Parents and teachers cannot monitor these children during the day and the students can't be trusted to monitor themselves. It makes sense to lock up the phones during class time, at least during the pilot study. If grades and other issues such as class participation and social behavior improve, then we have a win.
Pa. lawmakers pushing bills to have students' cell phones locked away during school hours
Among lawmakers, recognition of the problem is bipartisan.Pittsburgh Post-Gazette link: https://www.post-gazette.com/news/politics-state/2024/05/06/pennsylvania-legislature-students-cell-phone-education/stories/202405030061
HARRISBURG As state lawmakers appear close to passing a bill to effectively take cell phones out of the hands of drivers, talk is increasing about taking cell phones out of the hands of students during school. Sen. Ryan Aument, R-Lancaster, plans to file a bill in the Senate that would do just that. State Rep. Barb Gleim, R-Cumberland, filed one earlier this year that is awaiting action in the House Education Committee.
The concept embraced by both is having students put their phones in a locked container during the school day, and it would be unlocked when classes are over. Mr. Aument also plans to propose a pilot program in which some schools would get state money for lockable phone bags and data would be collected to track the programs effectiveness.
But its not the logistics that may trigger an uproar. Its the mere notion of school students being without access to their phones. A recent study published by the nonprofit Common Sense called getting a cell phone a rite of passage for children and adolescents. It found 97% of study participants used their phones for a median of 43 minutes during school hours. Social media use took up 32% of that time.
Mr. Aument cited the recent steep decline in the mental health in children. He pointed out that suicide rates for girls aged 10-14 increased 131% in a recent ten-year period.

I believe (and hope) that the independents are with us this year as far as the top tier candidates (Presidential and Senate) go, but that won't help the deep red districts. In Pennsylvania we still have many districts where a Democrat cannot get elected, or hardly even get on the ballot.
More outreach is needed in those deep red districts. Independent voters will hopefully have good reason to support Democratic candidates.
Where Pennsylvania has lost Democrats since 2008, and what it means for the November election
Spotlight PA link: https://www.spotlightpa.org/news/2024/05/pennsylvania-election-2024-voter-registration-democrat-republican-independent/
HARRISBURG For the first time in at least 16 years, the Democratic and Republican parties in Pennsylvania are within half a million registered voters of one another.
Since 2008, Democrats registration edge over Republicans has steadily shrunk from a 12% advantage in April 2008 to about a 4% advantage in April 2024, according to a Spotlight PA analysis of Department of State data. The number of people registered as independents or under a third party has also grown, from 11% of total registered voters in 2008 to 15% this year.
Political consultants who spoke with Spotlight PA said that while registration trends can signal an electorate's moods, they can't tell you everything about how a closely divided state like Pennsylvania will vote.
Stephen Medvic, a government professor at Franklin & Marshall College, said 2010 was a high water mark for Democratic registration in recent Pennsylvania history and that there was nowhere to go but down from there in terms of registration numbers.

yesterday, in Judge Juan Merchans Manhattan courtroom, Donald Trump was found in contempt of court for the TENTH TIME. let that sink in. ten gag order violations. ten very real threats against witnesses, jury members, and court workers.
Donnys penalty for all this reckless fuckery? he got a stern talking-to from the judge. can you think of any other criminal defendant who would be be shown this kind of deference, and given this many judicial mulligans? and yes, I get that all ten incidents happened before Merchans threat of imprisonment but come on already. its time to lock Donald Trump the fuck up.
heres Judge Merchans warning to Trump:
fuck consider. its time for will.
cmon, man. stop calling jail the last step. it needs to be the next step. and who gives one shit that Donny used to be president. why does that matter?

heres Judge Merchans warning to Trump:
It appears that the $1,000 fines are not serving as a deterrent. Going forward, this court will have to consider a jail sanction, Merchan said as he found Trump had violated the gag for a 10th time.
fuck consider. its time for will.
Your continued willful violations of this courts orders threaten to interfere with the ... administration of justice and constitute a direct attack on the rule of law. I cannot allow that to continue, the judge said.
Its important to understand that the last thing I want to do is to put you in jail. You are a former president of the United States and possibly a future president, as well. ... There are many reasons why incarceration is truly a last step for me, the judge said.

Great rant today. Tiedrich is all over Judge Cannon for her "technical issues" failure to report the luxury resort seminars. Then he gets on Chump's case for his weak, whiny weekend fundraiser at the Florida golf motel.
Best of all he has a ton of stuff on Governor Kristi Noem and her trashed political career. Please click on the OP link to read the rest on Tiedrich's blog "Everyone is entitled to my own opinion.."
Today's Tiedrich rant: oh gee, look who's corrupt as fuck
Link: https://www.jefftiedrich.com/p/oh-gee-look-whos-corrupt-as-fuck
MAGA judges sure love to be handed free shit. think of it as judicial welfare. look at Sam Alito. his plutocrat pals are continually loading him into their private jets and shuttling him off to one luxury all-expenses-paid vacation after another. does Fishin Trip Sammy pay back his benefactors by ruling the way they tell him to? does Donald Trump shit in a courtroom?
Clarence Thomas is such a greedy fuckface that he threatened to quit the Supreme Court if someone didnt augment his measly Court income. Nazi memorabilia aficionado Harlan Crow stood up and said I got this, bro and for the last two decades has been pretty much underwriting Clarence and Ginnis entire lavish lifestyle.
well, youll never guess who else just got caught with her hand in this fun cookie jar: Number One Trump Fangirl Judge Aileen Classified Documents? I Dont See Any Classified Documents Cannon.
you see, theres a federal ethics law that requires judges to disclose all gifts they receive. NPR started looking into judges who have been flouting this rule and uh-fucking-oh there was Judge Fangirl, right smack in the middle of the list.

Cannon, herself a Trump appointee, attended two seminars at a luxury resort in Montana, but the privately funded seminar disclosures for both events were not posted online until NPR began making inquiries.

Today is Derby Day in Louisville - is anyone making a prediction for the Kentucky Derby?
I used to attend the Derby regularly but that was many years ago. I've sort of lost touch. Here's one guy's predictions:

Maybe I'll have a mint julep while the horses are running.

Are the MAGAs really this desperate?
What a nutty cult!
Somebody has brainwashed them into thinking this is "owning the libs."
Nope! Not even close.
Pretty soon they'll be flying diapers from their half-ton pickups
