Holding someone accountable for their crimes is not a threat to our entire system. Despite Congress's lack of authority to halt these cases, it's still okay for Johnson to be wishful.

DURANT, Okla. (KXII) - A former student teacher at Durant Middle School was found guilty in federal court Wednesday.
Ryan Capps, 25, is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a then-14-year-old student.
According to unsealed federal court documents, the sexual abuse happened between September and November 2022.
A jury handed down a guilty verdict Wednesday on charges of sexual exploitation of a child.
A sentencing date has not been set..................................

Rep. Matt Gaetz Monday claimed no human being has ever accused him of wrongdoing and faced almost immediate mockery on social media.
Gaetz was responding to former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy's claim that the Florida Republican had him removed to stymie an House Ethics Committee probe into allegations Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old girl.
"There's not a single human being who has publicly accused me of any wrongdoing of any kind," Gaetz said. "At what point after these things have been said about me, for years and years, and not a single person has even accused me of wrongdoing, does this sort of become a strange urban legend?"

..................Appearing on Jesse Watters Primetime, Noem defended her actions.
“What happens if you are debating Kamala Harris and she says, ‘Well, wait a second, you shot your dog and you wrote a book about it, bragging about it. How can you be vice president?'” Watters asked.
“That story was a choice as a mom,” she replied. “The safety of my children versus a dangerous dog that was killing livestock and attacking people. So, this book that I’ve written is full of stories of my past, hard decisions. And I told the truth.”
“Do you regret telling that story?” he pressed. “Do you understand why people don’t like that story?”
The governor curiously replied by saying “everybody” knew about her executing a dog, a statement that appears to be undercut by the shock and horror her story has garnered.
“Everybody’s known that story for years,” she insisted. ................................
Notice how much worse the dog gets every time she talks about him😒.

The U.K. Defense Ministry was struck by a cyberattack likely carried out by Chinese hackers, Sky News reported on May 7.
Chinese and Russian-linked hacking groups have been accused of launching cyberattacks on a number of European governments and institutions, such as the U.K.'s Sellafield nuclear waste site.
The latest cyberattack was reportedly directly attributed to the Chinese state, according to Sky News. It targeted the payroll system of defense ministry employees and resulted in the breach of an unspecified amount of personal data.
"This is yet another example of why the U.K. government must admit that China poses a systemic threat to the U.K. and change the integrated review to reflect that," said lawmaker Iain Duncan Smith in comments to Sky News.
"No more pretense, it is a malign actor, supporting Russia with money and military equipment, working with Iran and North Korea in a new axis of totalitarian states," he added.
