Oh, to be there and hear a Trump-humper explain how he saw a lying, theiving, adulterous bigot, who proposed killing migrants at the border, a man who used the power of the presidency to enrich himself while his fellow citizens went hungry and homeless, who mocked those afflicted with a crippling disease, and proudly breaks every Commandment - and then compared him to Jesus Christ,
"Honestly, Your Godship, how could I not think that of all the men on earth, a selfish, self-centered, orange-faced braggart was 'chosen' by You to lead a nation? Surely you recognize that Donald Trump and Jesus are so alike, it's almost impossible to tell them apart."
If nothing else, at least God will get a few chuckles out of the MAGAts who try to wiggle their way out of eternal damnation with this sorry excuse.
I don't believe in God or a Final Judgement - but I often wonder if those MAGAts who do ever spend time practicing what they'll say in their own defence when their time comes.
A Memo to MAGAts
If you believe the 2020 election was "stolen", have you considered that tens of thousands of people would have had to be "in on it" for the alleged theft to have succeeded - from poll workers to ballot counters, etc. - all of whom did so without leaving a scintilla of evidence behind?
No one involved has come forward to confess to being part of this scheme; no one has leaked any info about how the "rigging" was accomplished. In other words, you have to believe that all of those nasty election-riggers know how to keep their mouths shut, and can cover their tracks so well, all of the GOP investigations couldn't uncover them.
And now you believe that tRump was indicted for multiple crimes by tRump haters who paid-off, bribed, or threatened grand jury members to do so - again without a single shred of proof, and again a plot that would require thousands of people to pull off without detection.
My point is this: If you believe the Democrats were successful in rigging the 2020 election, why would you bother to vote in 2024? The Dems have had four years to hone their election-stealing skills, so why waste your time when you're so sure the fix is in?
I know thinking is hard for most of you - but you might want to at least try thinking it through.
Low-hanging Fruitcake
I just tried to watch Bill Maher's show - tried, as is the case more often than not these days.
I usually appreciate him bringing on Republican guests who are articulate, responsible people who I may disagree with. but can discuss their views coherently and rationally.
When he introduced Kellyanne Conway as part of tonight's panel, I could literally hear the bottom of the barrel being scraped.
True to form, Miz Shit-for-Brains refused to shut up while others were speaking, spewing the ridiculous "alternative facts" she is famous for - and Maher let her drone on and on without interruption.
Needless to say, I turned off the show.
Just as a side note, someone should tell the Blonde Bimbo that acting like a sex-kittenish , high school cheerleader is not a good look for someone whose senior prom days were over decades ago.

If Stormy Daniels had declared that tRump was the hottest and most well-endowed sex partner she'd ever had, he would have paid her more than $130,000 to tell her story to every media outlet in the country - the impact on his campaign be damned.
Kristi Noem would have been a shoe-in for the VP slot if she'd changed the story about Cricket being a dog and depicted him as a migrant child who she shot for trying to steal rocks from her gravel pit.
MTG was recently demanding the use of space lasers at the border. She did not specify whether they'd be Jewish space lasers, or good old-fashioned Christian space lasers developed in a peach-tree dish. In any event, I heard that the Gazpacho Police shot down the entire idea.
tRump is still claiming that the NYC police are keeping thousands of his supporters from getting close to the courthouse in order to protest. So why doesn't he get his buddies at FOX-News to come down and film what he says is going on?
tRump advisor Stephen Miller said in a recent TV appearance that Donald and Melania are fashion icons whose stylish wardrobes have influenced an entire generation. I take it that means a smelly, baggy suit for men and going around naked for women - while carefully placing a hand over their crotch for photo shoots.
I don't understand why tRump is campaigning at all. He's already got the I'm as dumb-as-fuck voting demographic all sewn up - and that's pretty much the only group he can count on in November
And the stink just keeps on coming ...
James Comer is now saying on right-wing media that the reason they haven't initiated impeachment proceedings againt Biden yet is because so much new evidence against him is coming in so fast, they need time to sort through it all.
My guess is that the GOP is trying to distract attention from all the "tRump's putrid farts and BO are stinking up the courtroom" stories by creating an even bigger stench of their own.
Apparently the GOP doesn't realize that flop-sweat-and-desperation has its own unmistakable odour - and you can smell it from the nearest asteroid belt.
Jesus Wept - literally
We really shouldn't laugh at tRump comparing himself to heroic historical figures, given the facts we know about them.
We know from the Bible that when Jesus stood accused before Pontius Pilate, he cried like a baby and whined non-stop all the way to Calvary. And who can forget Christ's dying words about getting revenge on his enemies as soon as he was resurrected.
Remember Nelson Mandella in prison, and his endless belly-achin' about how cold his cell was? I was so happy when he was finally released so we didn't have to hear it anymore.
Our own history books are replete with stories about tRump-like American heroes - tales of how Paul Revere declined to warn people that the British were coming because it was raining and his hair would get mussed-up, and how Robert E. Lee refused to concede defeat because the whole Civil War was "rigged" and the Confederacy had actually won.
It may seem cruel to point and laugh at what MAGAts believe about their delusional Orange Cheezus - but at this point, it's kinda impossible not to.

You Have the Right to Remain Stupid
Yes, Trump-humpers - despite the fact that your Dear Leader is going down, you still have the right to be just as stupid as you've always been.
You are free to continue believing his ridiculous lies, no matter how many times they are debunked. You are free to send him your hard=earned cash to pay the alleged billionaire's legal expenses - like the brainless marks you have proven yourseles to be.
You are free to keep worshipping an adulterous, theiving con-man as God's chosen one - and I understand your confusion on that point, because when you read Jesus's Sermon on the Mount and hear Trumpy's description of migrants, it's almost impossible to tell them apart - am I right?
So fear not, clueless MAGAts - your right to remain stupid is still intact, and you will no doubt continue to exercise that right on a daily basis.

Alive & Kickin'
Thanks to everyone who has asked about my health and wellbeing. I have been dealing with some health issues of late, and decided that a bit of a vacation from politics might be in order.
I still check into DU every day, but have limited my time here and on other political sites so as not to threaten my mental/emotional stability. One can only listen to so much insanity spewing from the MAGAts - and I hit my personal limit a while back.
I firmly believe that we as a nation will be all right, that common sense and common decency will prevail in the end. I'm just really tired of listening to the bullshit between now and then - the inanity, the insanity, the lies, the cries, the whimpering, the hyperbole, the hypocrisy, the martyrdom, the persecution, the victimhood, the yada-yada-yada entreaties of those who believe that Joe Biden is
a body-double because the 'real Biden' was executed years ago.
I don't think I'm alone when I say I just can't]/i]. I just can't pretend that obvious idiots have a functioning brain.
Please be advised, Trump supporters ...
... that your feelings, beliefs, emotions, and opinions are no longer of any consequence. The only things that matter from now on are the facts and the law.
If you choose to believe that Trump and his allies are being persecuted simply because they "exercised their free speech" by "questioning" the outcome of the 2020 election, you are free to do so.
If you choose to believe that the 2020 election was rigged, tampered with, stolen - that's your prerogative.
But the fact remains that whatever deranged and baseless beliefs you may hold, they will not play any part in the legal proceedings that Trump and his cohorts are now about to face - and all of the protests, the threats of violence, the screaming and gnashing of teeth on your part won't change that fact.

What do you figure the shelf life is on the whole "Biden crime family" thing?
You've already made fools of yourselves with 'missing' witnesses who turn out to be fugitives from justice, and 'blockbuster testimony' that gets laughed out of hearing rooms.
How do think statements like "we're still gathering evidence and will impeach Joe Biden any day now" are going to play out six months from now, nine months from now - a year from now?
We all know that Republican voters aren't terribly bright - but even the dumbest MAGAt will eventually begin to question why you keep claiming that Biden's corruption is blatantly obvious - and yet you can't produce a shred of evidence to prove it.
Like sooooo many other things, you really should have thought this one through.
